Yukiko Sekino, winner of the 2011 Mu Phi Epsilon International Competition, works with students of Dr. Robert Weirich of the UMKC Conservatory of Music & Dance in a FREE piano master class. Piano compositions by Beethoven, Chopin, and Liszt will be explored.

Pianist Charles Badami will be performing a FREE piano recital at Schmitt Music Kansas City on March 17. The performance repertoire will include pieces by Schubert, Chopin and Gershwin/Wild. Click here for the event page!
Charles Badami is currently Instructor of Music and Collaborative Pianist at Northwest Missouri State University, where he works with student pianists, the university choirs, vocal and instrumental studios, collaborates with the other faculty and teaches various music courses, such as Enjoyment of Music and Class Piano. He completed the Doctor of Music in Piano Performance and Collaborative Arts degree at Northwestern University’s School of Music in Evanston, IL, where he studied with Sylvia Wang and Elizabeth Buccheri.
