Ignore Rush Hour with a FREE Piano Concert!

Please join us for a special one-hour recital featuring students of Dr. Jack Winerock: pianists Junhao Wang and Sol Park will perform at Schmitt Music Kansas City on Friday, November 2 at 5:30PM – free and open to the public!

Dr. Jack Winerock is an American classical pianist and piano professor at the KU School of Music. He has received national and international acclaim as a teacher, clinician, and adjudicator. Winerock’s students have won prizes in national and international competitions, including the International Frederick Chopin Piano Competition in Warsaw and the Music Teachers National Association (MTNA).

Junhao Wang

Junhao Wang

Junhao Wang, a junior in high school, is currently 17 years old. He has studied piano since the age of 7. Recently, he moved to Lawrence to study with Dr. Jack Winerock, Chair of Piano of the University of Kansas.

He has competed in many competitions, and in 2017, he placed second in MTNA’s State Level Competition in Kansas and won the Gold Medal in the 2018 Kansas City Regional Steinway Piano Competition in Division III.

Junhao Wang has interests in math, art, and travel.

Sol Park

Sol Park

Sol Park, from South Korea, is a junior at Overland Christian School in Overland Park, Kansas. She began playing piano at age five and has won multiple awards for piano performance in South Korea and the United States.

Some of her accomplishments include first prize at the 11th Haneum Music Competition, the Eumaksekye Piano Competition, the WMN Competition, the YNMN Competition, the Kansas Music Teachers Association, and the Music Teachers National Association. She has performed with the Busan Neo Philharmonic Orchestra and has been featured in solo performances in Seoul, South Korea.

Sol currently studies with Professor Jack Winerock of the University of Kansas.
