About Zach Miller
Saxophone Shop Manager & Specialist
Zach serves as Schmitt Music’s Saxophone Shop Manager. Zach studied saxophone under Dr. Eugene Rousseau and Dr. Preston Duncan at the University of Minnesota. His years as a middle school band director paired with his experience as a gigging musician gives him a unique background that helps his customers find the perfect gear. Zach loves staying informed on the latest innovations in the saxophone world and enjoys connecting those products with customers that may like them. In addition to working in the Sax Shop, Zach is actively involved in live music around the Midwest; playing saxophone and flute with Transit Authority (a Chicago tribute band), as well as local soul/pop/rock fusion group JoJo Green.
About Daryk Narum
Director of Saxophone Sales & Specialist
Daryk is Schmitt Music’s Director of Saxophone Sales and a Saxophone Specialist. He has over 20 years of experience helping beginner students and seasoned professionals find the best saxophone to fit their needs. Do you simply need help tweaking your sound? No problem, Daryk can help you find the right mouthpiece, ligature, and reed combination to get the most out of your sound. When he is not at the Sax Shop, Daryk keeps busy playing in local Minneapolis bands.
