Steinway Artist Vladimir Horowtiz at the piano

Vladimir Horowitz (10/1/1903 – 11/5/1989) is widely considered to be the greatest pianist of the 20th century, and he was a Steinway Artist for over sixty years. Mr. Horowitz’s personal Steinway is on a tour of the United States, and will be in Kansas City on October 1st, what would’ve been his 116th birthday.

This stunning piano – a Steinway Model D (CD503) nine-foot ebony concert grand – is the piano that Horowitz took to Russia for his triumphant return concert series in 1986, at the age of 83. That program, covered by CBS, influenced many great pianists of our age. Horowitz also used this Steinway on several tracks on his last album, Horowitz, the Last Recordings.

This is a rare opportunity for you to see, hear, touch and play the famous Horowitz Steinway! Photographs of you at the Horowitz Steinway piano will be available courtesy of Schmitt Music. Plus, you’ll get a special commemorative certificate!

Steinway Spirio high-resolution player piano

Join us at Schmitt Music Kansas City on October 1st and you’ll also enjoy reproductions of several Horowitz performances captured on the amazing Steinway Spirio. A highly regarded piano professor in our area recently called the Spirio “a miracle.” We think you’ll agree.

Seating is limited, so please let us know if you plan to attend. CLICK HERE TO RSVP or call 913-663-4756 to speak with a Kansas City Piano Specialist. Don’t miss this once-in-a-lifetime Horowitz party where you get the gifts!
