Congratulations to Kenneth Broberg, 2017 silver medalist winner in The Cliburn piano competition!
Schmitt Music would like to say CONGRATULATIONS to Kenneth “Kenny” Broberg, winner of the silver medal in The Van Cliburn International Piano Competition!

Kenneth Broberg, 23, is a Minneapolis native and current graduate student at The International Center for Music at Park University in Parkville, MO. He was one of four Americans to compete in The Cliburn this year, held May 25 through June 10 in Fort Worth, TX. The gold medal went to South Korea’s Yekwon Sunwoo, and the bronze to Daniel Hsu, also of the U.S.A. Congratulations to all of these great performers!

Broberg was a student of Dr. Joseph Zins at Crocus Hill Studios in St. Paul from the age of 6 through high school, and he currently studies with Steinway Artist (and 2001 Cliburn gold medalist) Stanislav Ioudenitch at Park University’s International Center for Music in Parkville, MO – our newest All-Steinway School! Mr. Broberg presented a program at Schmitt Music Edina earlier this year.
