We had the chance to get our hands on one of Bach’s latest additions to their trombone line, the Bach 50AF3 bass trombone. Designed with Charlie Vernon from the Chicago Symphony, the 50AF3 has many of the features of a standard 50 (.562″ bore, yellow brass handslide tubes and crook, 9 1/2″ one piece bell) with the inclusion of dual independent Infinity valves and edge bracing to keep the bell free to resonate.
