Join us at Schmitt Music Edina for Flute clinic presented by Dr. Huei-Mei Jhou. Each student will be given a breathing bag and taught how to ‘play’ or exhale phrases into the bag. We will also discuss best practices in breathing technique and perform breathing bag exercises.

Friday, April 5th at 6:30pm

The breathing bag is a useful modern practice performance tool, advocated and introduced by University of Minnesota Flute professor Immanuel Davis, and Mannes College, The New School for Music faculty Keith Underwood, respectively, to build the foundation for all skills which flute players need to master. This tool is a simple, but powerful self-teaching device for musicians.

Cost: $25 per person
