Employees and friends of Schmitt Music Brooklyn Center were treated to a recital by William Yang, an extraordinary young pianist and student of Dr. Paul Wirth. William gave a recital that included Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s Piano Sonata No. 10 in C Major, K. 330, 1st Movement, performed on a Steinway & Sons Model B Grand Piano. William Yang is 10 years old and currently takes piano lessons with Dr. Wirth at Schmitt Music Roseville.
I recently saw this talented young man on the news one morning. I can tell you that I have never been one to listen to the classical genre. I listen to hard rock metal, my radio station is always on 93.7. On the morning I was watching the news and listened to this incredible performance, I was mesmerized. Several times reminding myself to breathe. I have never been moved like that from listening to music, and for a genre that I have never had an ear for. Unbelievable. Speechless. I made it a point, while working to see this talented, gifted and magical musician perform at the St.Andrews Church in Mahtomedi. William Yang you are going to be an inspiration for many, you’ve touched my heart with your abilities to perform, and without a music sheet in front of you to follow!! Glad I had the opportunity to watch you, just simply amazing!
