Join us for a night of live music featuring students performing with Hal Leonard’s Band & Orchestra Play-Along books. You’ll hear some popular tunes, and get to know these great learning tools from Hal Leonard.

Hal Leonard Play-Along books help you play your favorite songs quickly and easily! Just follow the notes, listen to the CD to hear how the instrument should sound, and then play along using the separate backing tracks.

Ashworth Low Brass eventJoin us for a FREE Low Brass Clinic with Tom Ashworth, Professor of Trombone at the University of Minnesota School of Music. He’ll share career experiences and explore the “Fundamentals of Low Brass Teaching and Performance”.

Topics include posture/fitness, breathing, inhalation, exhalation, embouchure, note-shapes and stability, mouthpiece buzzing, tone, intonation, technique, flexibility/lip slurs, tonguing/articulation/diction and more fundamentals.

Zagreb Saxophone Quartet at The Sax Shop

The Zagreb Saxophone Quartet Live at The Sax Shop!

Join us Thursday, March 22 at 4:00PM at Schmitt Music Brooklyn Center for this FREE performance by an internationally acclaimed, Eastern European quartet of saxophone masters!

Doors to the event open at 4pm for Conn-Selmer horn trials (featuring 20-30 Selmer Paris Saxes) and Dr. Eugene Rousseau Mouthpiece trials. Performance will begin at 6:00pm, and there will be a Q&A before and after the performance.
