Join us as Pianist Nick Busheff gives a preview of his upcoming performances in Germany – Sunday, July 12th at 4:00PM at Schmitt Music Denver – FREE CONCERT!
The program includes original pieces, jazz standards, sacred and classical favorites. Nick will also perform his new composition “Grimm’s Fairy Tales for Piano,” and a tribute to Van Cliburn. Special guests; vocalist Nancy Stohlman and organist Barbara Dawson.
Pianist Nick Busheff is known as a diverse composer, director and dynamic performer of the concert stage. After years of classical training, degrees and awards from leading conservatories, he ventured into popular music. Nick has written and recorded solo piano albums, ensemble projects and music for theater and film. Busheff has shared the stage with several Grammy, Oscar and Tony-winning artists and performed for celebrities and political dignitaries. His music was featured in the independent film Angel on Fire and the multi award-winning feature film The One Who Loves You where he made a cameo appearance.
Frequent collaborations include co-writing and producing music videos with lounge band Kinky Mink vocalist Nancy Stohlman. Busheff’s music directing credits include Brecht on Brecht, The Wilderness Ensemble, Wink! Songs with the Flirt Built In, Love Potion #9, From Bach to Billy Joel and many others. In 2013 Nick co-produced, performed and composed music for Nancy Stohlman’s The Monster Opera which will return to the stage in 2015. Nick Busheff is an annual guest artist at the United States International Duo Piano Competition and has been featured on both KUVO (jazz) and KVOD (classical) radio stations.
