University of Wisconsin- Eau Claire Trombone Choir Master Class at Rosemount High School

Please join us in the Rosemount High School band room for a master class with the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire Trombone Choir on Friday, October 14th from 3PM to 5PM – FREE!

The Schmitt Music Trombone Shop is proud to sponsor this event that features Dr. Phil Ostrander and the UWEC Trombone Choir. Geared toward middle and high school students, topics to be covered include artistry, technique, and equipment. There will be playing opportunities, so students should bring instruments.

University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire Trombone Choir

The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire Trombone Choir consists of music majors, minors and students from other departments. The group rehearses once a week, tour annually, and has performed at the Wisconsin and Minnesota Music Education Association Conferences, the Eastern Trombone Workshop and the International Trombone Festival. Trombone alumni from UWEC teach all over the United States and attend graduate schools at the Eastman School of Music, Indiana University, New England Conservatory, Rice University, Northwestern University, and the University of Minnesota. UWEC hosts the biennial “Upper Midwest Trombone Summit,” which brings together over 100 college and high school trombonists for a day of master classes and performances.
