Kawai’s annual awards reception was held on the opening night of the NAMM show, on Thursday, January 21, 2016. In his formal address at the event, Hirotaka Kawai, president of Kawai Global Group, noted that 2015 marked the 88th year since his grandfather, Koichi Kawai, founded the company. The evening culminated with Hirotaka Kawai and Naoki Mori, president, Kawai America Corporation and Kawai Canada Music, Ltd., personally presenting the company’s prestigious Pinnacle Awards.
