Colorado Chamber Players, a fully-professional mixed chamber ensemble, delivers intimate, captivating performances of classical music in locations across the Denver area. One of Denver’s finest chamber music ensembles, Colorado Chamber Players includes many top level musicians in the Rocky Mountain region. The group’s core is string quartet, double bass, flute, oboe, clarinet, piano, harp and guitar.
In our 28th season, the Colorado Chamber Players will perform both live and virtual concerts.
The Colorado Chamber Players performs around the Rocky Mountain region. The group works in tandem with Think 360 Arts in school outreach, and served as the Ensemble-in-Residence at the Denver School of the Arts from 2013-2018.
Steinway Artist Andrew Cooperstock performs widely as soloist and chamber musician and has appeared throughout six continents and in most of the fifty states, including performances at New York’s Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, and the United Nations. He has been featured in recitals and concerto appearances at the Chautauqua, Brevard, and Round Top music festivals, the Australian Festival of Chamber Music, and Hong Kong’s Hell Hot! New Music Festival, in such international locales as London, Paris, Geneva, Beijing, Seoul, Accra, Kiev, Vladivostok, Canberra, Quito, and Lima, and on National Public Radio, Radio France, and the British Broadcasting Corporation. In 2019-20 he performed and taught in China, Hong Kong, Germany, Czech Republic, New York, Minnesota, Idaho, Oregon, Washington, the Carolinas, Nebraska, Colorado, and Arizona, and he was convention artist for Music Teachers Association of California.
Noted as a “very expressive soprano” (Opus Colorado), Kathryn Radakovich enjoys a varied career performing works from the modern, classical, baroque, and jazz idioms.
Kathryn’s solo engagements from seasons past include appearances with; Musikanten Montana in Bach’s St. John Passion, as Musica and Ninfa in Monteverdi’s Orfeo with Baroque Chamber Orchestra of Colorado under the direction of Stephen Stubbs, with the Colorado Chamber Players under the direction of Matthieu Lussier in Handel’s Messiah, the Colorado Springs Philharmonic in Bernstein: On Stage and Screen, the Victoria Bach Festival in Bach’s Magnificat, the Ars Nova Singers in their production of Will Todd’s Mass in Blue, in Handel’s Messiah with the Cathedral of St. John in the Wilderness, Denver, and in Kevin Padworski’s Reflections on a Mexican Garden with Colorado Chorale and Cantabile, and headlining the Kathryn Radakovich Quintet return for Part II of their Tribute to Nina Simone residency at Nocturne Jazz and Supper Club, in Denver.
