Music Background: I've been singing my entire life, and I have 17 years on the piano. I started with the alto saxophone in the 5th grade band program and was recruited into a woodwind chamber ensemble the summer before freshman year; there I stayed for the rest of my high school career. Today, I'm still taking bass lessons, dabbling in guitar, and hoping to be able to learn some banjo and violin in the near future.
Fun Facts: I am an art student, a volleyball player, and an avid camper

Music Background: I have a bachelor's of music degree in Theory-Composition from the University of Minnesota Duluth. I have been teaching piano since the spring of 2001. I taught Piano and Trombone at Schmitt Music Duluth from 2001 to 2006. I returned to Schmitt Music in the fall of 2010 after my daughter was old enough for Kindergarten. I now teach Piano, Trombone, Voice, and Bass Guitar.
Fun Facts: I'm Duluth's new Music Specialist.

Music Background: I started my musical journey when I was five years old playing the dulcimer. When I was 9 I started taking piano lessons and continue playing to this day. I taught beginning piano for 5 years which was a highly rewarding experience!
Fun Facts: In sixth grade I started playing percussion and played throughout high school. During that time I played in marching band, pit orchestra and a worship band at church.

Which instrument(s) do you play? I have been classically trained on Violin, but I can play guitar and piano decently. I'm working currently on drums (doing pretty well if I say so myself.)
Music Background: I have been involved with music for 13 years. I have lots of experience in solo, small ensemble and full orchestra performance. I am starting my first semester of college for Music Education this January (very excited about it.)

Fun Facts: I am on staff for the Minnesota Ambassadors of Music. This is a band and choir group, composed primarily of students ages 15 through college, as well as adults. Participants are from all areas of the state of Minnesota. The Minnesota Ambassadors of Music tour and perform in 7 countries throughout Europe. I play in a brass quintet "5 Seasoned Brass" – not sure if we spend more time playing or laughing!! That's what's great about music!!!!
