Music Products (Non-Print Music) Return Policy
Merchandise that is in perfect condition for resale will be accepted for return within 30 days of purchase and accompanied by the original sales receipt.
All returns must include original packaging.
Special rules may apply to certain sale or promotional merchandise.
Items which cannot be accepted for return:
- Reeds
- Harmonicas
- Recorders
- CDs
- Tapes & Videos
- Computer Software
- Special Orders of non-stock items (which cannot be cancelled).
- with valid receipt
- within 30 days
- within 60 days with receipt for educators presenting their Schmitt Music Educator Discount Card.
- in such condition that resale is possible
- If you charged your music, we will credit the account that was charged.
- If you paid in cash, you will be reimbursed in cash for sales up to $25. For cash refunds in excess of $25, a Gift Card will be mailed to you within 14 days. Shipping/Fees are non-refundable.

- Unless requested otherwise, orders will not be shipped until complete.
- Expedited orders, those desired more quickly than our normal shipping times, must be placed through our printed music order line at 1-800-767-3434. These orders will be accepted Monday through Friday between 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Central time. Branch stores may not accept orders that require expediting.
- For expedited shipping of in-stock music, the customer will be assessed a $5 fee in addition to the shipping cost based upon the order total.
- For expedited shipping of music not in stock, a drop-ship from the publisher is required. The customer will be charged the drop ship fee determined by the publisher. This fee, if any, varies by publisher and is based upon weight, distance and time. By asking to have music drop shipped, the customer agrees to pay all fees assessed by the publisher.
- Orders for music which must be imported from a foreign country will be charged a 20% Import Fee based upon the actual cost of the music.
