Barry began his musical career at the age of 8 when he started piano lessons. He went on to major in piano performance at California State University at Fullerton, studying with Dr. David Berfield, a student of Nadia Boulanger. Barry works extensively with the music departments of all the major colleges and universities in Colorado. He stays true to his piano roots, however, by playing for church twice a week, by doing some studio work, and by teaching a handful of piano students. Barry would be delighted to help you – his goal is to give you all the facts so that you can better determine the piano that best suits your needs.

An avid musician, Dino has been active in the music industry in both Europe and North America since 1999. Customers love his enthusiasm for music and his enthusiasm while assisting them in their search for the ideal instrument. According to Dino, “Helping a customer find their dream piano doesn’t even seem like work!” Dino’s natural curiosity about how instruments work and his firm belief in the power of music to positively impact people’s lives make him a favorite with our customers. Having lived in Europe for 12 years, Dino’s other passion is the study of languages. He is happy to help in English, Italian, German, or Spanish!

Dr. Tonya Holland is a graduate of James Madison University with a DMA in Piano Performance, Literature and Pedagogy and she is a nationally certified teacher through the Music Teachers National Association (MTNA). Her mosaic of experience includes collaborative and solo work, choral conducting, lecturing, vocal coaching/chamber music, theory and private studio teaching. As adjunct professor at JMU and Bridgewater College, Dr. Holland taught Piano Pedagogy, Music History and Theory, Class Piano and was staff accompanist for JMU Chorale.
In 2018, Dr. Holland teamed with world renowned piano pedagogue, Suzanne Guy in publishing a book entitled Wit and Wisdom from the Piano Bench: 50 Witty and 50 Wise Ways to Inspire Aspiring Musicians. A new Coloradan, and newest piano specialist to Schmitt Music Denver, she is looking forward to meeting the music community in the metro area and serving your piano needs.

Betsy began her piano studies when she was 8 years old. In 2002, she earned her music degree in piano pedagogy and she has been teaching private and class piano lessons for over 11 years. To support the growing popularity of recreational piano and provide more students of all ages the opportunity to enjoy music in a relaxed group setting, Betsy and her husband started a piano class studio in Denver. In her free time Betsy enjoys playing the piano for church, spending time with her family, and trail running. Betsy would love to share her teaching experience with you by helping you find the piano of your dreams.
