The Sax Shop at Schmitt Music

The Sax Shop at Schmitt Music is a dedicated resource for saxophonists of all levels, from students and developing musicians to professional performers. Featuring a carefully curated selection of professional saxophones, mouthpieces, reeds, ligatures, and accessories from trusted makers including Selmer Paris, Yamaha, Yanagisawa, Eastman, Lake City, and Tenor Madness, The Sax Shop is focused on helping players find the right equipment for their individual sound and playing style.

With experienced saxophone specialists, The Sax Shop offers personalized consultations to help players build the ideal setup—from selecting an instrument to pairing the right mouthpiece, reed, and ligature combination. We work closely with Randy Jones of Tenor Madness, who provides custom setups on select new saxophones, as well as expert repair, restoration, and overhaul services for pre-owned and vintage instruments.

The Sax Shop is proud to support the saxophone community through events, education, and outreach. From Saxophone Day, featuring performers, mouthpiece makers, and gear specialists, to our partnership with TC Saxophone’s free concert series, we continue to bring saxophone resources and experiences to players throughout the region. We also travel to support collegiate events, jazz festivals, and local school clinics, helping connect saxophonists with the instruments, expertise, and inspiration they need to continue growing.
