Pre-Owned Bach 16 Small Bore Tenor Trombone

The Bach 16 has been a staple small-bore tenor from the 1960's and 70's up through the modern era.  Featuring a 7 1/2" yellow brass bell, standard yellow brass tuning slide, and .495"/.509" dual bore handslide with nickel silver outer tubes and crook it has been renowned for its broad color palate, projection, and stability in its slotting and overall response.

This Bach 16 dates in the 1981 -1982 range and is in overall good condition.  It's lacquer is 85%; it has spots of lacquer wear throughout the finish, with more substantial wear on the typical contact points, and a few small pinpoint dents on the bell but no larger dents or dings.  The handslide is a 9/10.  This 16 is one of the better playing examples we have had in the shop for quite a while; it has the classic Bach core to its sound and remains quite sonically stable throughout its dynamic ranges, with excellent power and projection while allowing for a nice lightness in response at soft dynamics.  Comes with Bach hardshell case and mouthpiece.
