A Time-Proven Mute for Trombones

Willie Berg invented Stonelined Mutes in 1935 and to this day they are one of the most popular mute choices available. The Stonelined series uses fiber material (painted in their well-known white and red) to create a muted sound with a balance of warmth and woodiness with projection.

The Humes & Berg sound is used extensively in big band and jazz settings and continues to be one of the best values on the mute market.
