Bach Stradivarius C190SL229C C Trumpet – "Chicago" Model
The Bach Stradivarius C190SL229C C Trumpet, known as the "Chicago" model, is a professional-level instrument inspired by the legendary Bach trumpets played by the Chicago Symphony Orchestra in the mid-20th century. Designed in collaboration with Esteban Batallán, Principal Trumpet of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, this model pays homage to the iconic sound and design of the Mt. Vernon-era Bach trumpets.
Handcrafted in Elkhart, Indiana, the C190SL229C features a Mt. Vernon-weight #229 bell made from hand-hammered yellow brass, incorporating a side seam and French-style bell wire for enhanced resonance and projection. The newly designed #25E leadpipe offers a comfortable resistance and precise centering, catering to the demands of modern orchestral performance.
With its .462" large bore, two-piece valve casings, and narrow wrap with narrow Z braces, this trumpet delivers a quick response, vibrant sound, and exceptional playability. The short 1st and 3rd tuning slides provide additional tuning flexibility, making it a versatile choice for professional trumpeters.
