A staple in the trombone world for generations, the Bach Stradivarius 36BO Medium Bore Trombone is a professional trombone that is ideal for solo and symphonic performances. It features an 8-inch one-piece hand-hammered yellow bell, a .525” bore lightweight nickel silver handslide and an open-wrap F-attachment.
This 36 from the early 1990's was once owned by a member of the New York Philharmonic and has had a number of modifications, including being retrofit to accept a modular bell, valve linkage enhancements from the Bach captive-ball joints to nylon linkages, and a heavyweight valve cap. This is one of the best playing 36BO's we have had in the shop in the past few years; it has the efficiency of a medium bore but with a nice weight and broadness in it's timbe and response, combined with a wonderfully balanced color. Comes with Bach and Protec hard cases.
