The King 2B has been one of the best known, if not the best known, professional small bore tenor trombone for over 9 decades, offering a brightness and clarity in sound combined with a flexible response that has fit the needs of generations of trombonists.

This 2B Liberty may be the most unique and customized 2B we have come through the shop.  It features full silver plating throughout, including the inside of the bell, and ornate custom engraving (including the name "Charles" on the bell and engraving on the tuning slide).  It is a very lightweight instrument and was built without a slide lock or handslide/bell screw collar, in the style of the earlier King designs.  The overall condition is very good; there are no visible dings or dents, or evidence of prior repair work, and the plating is 85%+, with small scratches and some wear on the inside of the bell and the standard contact points.  The handslide is an 8.5/10; there is some plating wear on the inside handslide tubes but the overall action is very good.

This instrument is a rather unique playing experience in the 2B world; it has a good deal of the lightness and efficiency of the classic 2B but with a clarity and certain warmth that is reminiscent of the 3B.  It is balanced and clear at softer dynamics and when pushed focuses and projects while maintaining core.  Comes with original King wood shell case.
