The Schilke S42 is a custom model developed for trumpet legend John Faddis. Featuring a lightweight design, medium bore and their #2 bell taper, the Schilke S42 is a fantastic commercial and crossover trumpet, offering quick response and an efficient blow.
From Schilke: The S42 S Series Bb Trumpet was introduced in 1983. This model benefitted from advice and feedback from Jon Faddis and was played by him for more than 20 years, until the development of the S43HDL-F Faddis Model. The S42 offers an efficient design, ideal for the lead player.
