Mark your calendars for a special weekend dedicated to the vibrant world of the saxophone and the enduring legacy of the late Eugene Rousseau. From June 13-15, 2025 Preston Duncan and the University of MN will be hosting The Eugene Rousseau Celebration. Schmitt Music will join the celebration and bring the Twin Cities Saxophone Day to the UMN on Saturday June 14th.

As a token of our appreciation of Professor Rousseau's contributions, Schmitt Music is pleased to announce that a percentage of proceeds from Yamaha saxophone sales during June and July 2025 will benefit the newly established Eugene Rousseau Scholarship fund. This is a wonderful opportunity to give back to the saxophone community and its students in Professor Rousseau's name.

In honor of Dr. Rousseau's enduring legacy, 100% of the proceeds from our auction will benefit the Eugene Rousseau Scholarship Fund.

Jody Espina, President of Rousseau Mouthpieces, JodyJazz and Chedeville, will give a brief history of the E. Rousseau mouthpiece company and detail what has been done since its acquisition by JodyJazz in 2020. The full line of Rousseau 3.0 mouthpieces will be explained and demonstrated.
