Meet Josh Coffey

Meet Josh Coffey, the new Director of Sales at The Trumpet Shop. Josh is a brass retail specialist, educator, arranger, and award-winning performer. From the Phoenix Symphony and Summit Brass to Lindsay Sterling and Collective Soul, Josh has really been around the musical block. Notable among his prize-winning performances is his First Place showing in the 2017 Rafael Méndez Orchestral Excerpt Competition. He holds degrees in trumpet performance from Brigham Young University and Arizona State University (BM and MM, respectively). Josh loves “nerding out” about the minutiae of trumpet equipment, and spending time with his wife, son, cat, and two dogs.

About the Trumpet Shop

Do you offer instrument trials?

Yes, we offer both appointment based and in-home trials. Learn more on our trial policies page, or contact us to arrange your in-home trial.

Do I need to make an appointment?

Appointments are always encouraged in order to have a dedicated specialist work with you in the space, but customers are always welcome to browse the shop within store hours.

What should I bring to try instruments in the shop?

While we have a large selection of trumpets and mouthpieces, plan to bring your personal mouthpiece and instrument if possible. This ensures the trial and selection process will be as smooth and helpful as possible.

Do you offer financing?

Do you buy used instruments?
