Miraphone 670 BBb Contrabass Trombone
The Miraphone 670 has become the staple BBb contrabass trombone, offering a powerful and impactful low/pedal register with a bite and projection difficult to replicate on tuba. This contrabass, owned by a prominent orchestra, has essentially been a closet instrument and is in excellent condition. It has been cleaned and refurbished with good valve action, 90+% finish condition, essentially no dings or dents and a 8.5/10 hand slide; the inner handslide tubes do show a moderate amount of plating wear, primarily on the stockings, but still have good action. This contrabass, especially with the right mouthpiece (it does well with a true contra piece, extremely large bass trombone or small-shank F tuba mouthpieces) has real bark and power in it's lower register; above the 3rd/4th partial it gets a bit more of a BBb tuba timbre but still is responsive and stable. Comes with original case and mouthpiece
