The serial number places its production in 1975 or possibly very late 1974. Note the two-piece valve casings with nickel silver balusters, a configuration that was abandoned on the 180-series Strads in favor of one-piece casings in 1977. This individual had its finish stripped aftermarket, though there are some final remenants of lacquer in the odd place like between valve casings. It has a nice patina on it now. Note some dents and evidence of non-major repair work to the bell flare and bow.
