This individual dates from 1954, a year during which Conn experimented quite wildly with the use of nickel silver parts. Nickel silver parts on this horn include outer valve slides, middle casings, valve caps, and receiver. Conn referred to its efficient .438\" bore as \"medium-small.\" Note most of the lacquer has worn off, effectively making this a raw brass instrument.
