Schmitt Music's 2024 "Educator of the Year" Nomination Form

2023 Educator of the Year: Who are the best music educators in elementary, middle, and high school?

Nominations will be accepted through Friday, January 19, 2024.

We are accepting nominations in three categories for Schmitt Music’s 2024 Educators of the Year! You may certainly nominate educators in more than one category or nominate multiple candidates in one category. There are only a few prerequisites that you need to consider:

Your nominee must teach in MN, WI, IA, NE, ND, or SD
Your nominee must be actively teaching this school year
Please nominate your candidate for one of the three categories: Band, Orchestra or Choir.

Nominated educators will be notified and asked to provide additional information about themselves, their program, and their career. An impartial panel of music professionals will review all submitted information to determine the Educators of the Year. Selection will be made at MMEA in February of 2024.

Schmitt Music believes in the value of music education and we support you in your efforts to bring music to your schools and communities. We are excited to bring attention to very deserving individuals through the Schmitt Music Educators of the Year Award. Thank you for your time and nomination!
