Graphic Designer/Videographer

We are looking for a talented, team-oriented, motivated and passionate multi-disciplinary graphic designer/videographer. This position works to help digitally-enable sales, marketing, and communication assets supporting a diverse workload including but not limited to: graphic design, infographics, animated videos, video editing, training/learning materials design. You will visually enhance existing materials and also design new assets. The graphic designer/videographer will be responsible for the conceptualization and design of marketing communications from concept to completion for a wide variety of projects. The ideal candidate will have a graphic design background, video editing and production skills, strong conceptual skills, and a passion for delivering high-quality, innovative designs while meeting multiple project deadlines and within defined brand standards. This position will work closely with Schmitt Music’s internal resources and the resources held with our marketing partner, Modern Foundation. The goal of this position is to increase company sales, influence, and market share.
Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Adding a professional polish to an existing video or crafting videos from the ground up
- Using innovative design and motion to tell a visual story
- Working closely with the content expert and Marketing Communication team to strategize and produce original content
- Supporting sales and events with materials designed to position Schmitt Music as an authority in the music industry
- Maintain brand standards and work within brand guidelines
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or related field
- 3-5+ years of in-house or agency graphic design experience
- Advance knowledge of typography, composition, color, and editorial storytelling principles
- Strong understanding of video formats, compression techniques, and format requirements/constraints
- Demonstrated knowledge of production equipment including cameras, lighting, and audio
- Ability to work on multiple projects from concept to completion, while adhering
to project timelines - Exceptional interpersonal, collaborative, and creative problem-solving skills
- Willingness to learn and take initiative
- Highly organized with meticulous attention to detail
- Ability to produce inspiring visual content for consumers of all ages and skill levels
- Mac OS X user
- Advanced skills in Adobe Creative Cloud (Adobe Premiere, Adobe After Effects, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe Illustrator)
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook
- Photography skills are a plus
Presentation of portfolio is required
