Oliver Cenedella

From a young age Oliver has always had a passion, fascination, and love for music. Starting his piano studies at age four and cello studies at age eight he has continued to develop his musical interests over the past several years. On the cello he has taken part in Youth Orchestras throughout the Boulder area.

Throughout his high school years he has focused on diving deeper into his piano studies, allowing his concentration to uncover more of the repertoire he loves. In 2015, after attending the CU Piano Summer Academy Oliver began studying with Dr. David Korevaar. He has since participated in several piano competitions throughout the Boulder/Denver area.

In 2016 after winning Boulder High School Concerto competition, Oliver was given the honor of performing the Saint Saƫns Piano Concerto in g minor with the school orchestra. He was also a prize winner in both the 2016 Kawai Piano Competition and The Colorado Rising Stars Festival.

In 2017 Oliver took first prize at both the Kawai Piano Competition, and Colorado Rising Stars Festival, with a second place finish at the Schmitt Music Piano Competition.

During his summers Oliver spends time at the Chautauqua Institution in New York where he takes advantage of the piano program. He regularly attends master classes where he has had the opportunity to learn from several masters pianists including Jon Nakamatsu, Gary Graffman, and Alexander Gavrylyuk.

In the fall Oliver will attend the Vanderbilt University in Nashville. He plans to pursue a duel major in Piano Performance under the guise of Dr. Craig Nies and in Political Science.
