Schmitt Music presents pianists Isabel Keleti and Nai-yu Chen in concert at Schmitt Music Kansas City on Monday, June 20 at 6PM – FREE!

Isabel Keleti is from Leawood, KS and is pursuing a Bachelors in Piano Performance at the University of Kansas under the direction of Dr. Jack Winerock. She won first prize in the Kansas State Collegiate Auditions and the Heritage Philharmonic Concerto Competition, and has performed at international music festivals such as the IIYM, Brevard and MusicFest Perugia and as a soloist accompanied by orchestras in the the midwest and Italy.

Nai-yu Chen, a Taiwan-born pianist, received her bachelor’s degree from a top rated music school in Taiwan and master’s degree at the University of Texas at Austin as an international student scholarship recipient throughout her study. She is currently pursuing a doctoral degree at the University of Kansas as a “Dave and Gunda Heibert Scholarship” recipient under the instruction of Dr. Jack Winerock. Nai-yu began piano study at age 5 and made her solo debut at age 7. Since then, she performed actively in the public such as giving recitals regularly in communities, performing in master classes, attending in music festivals which are held in the United States, Europe and Asia, and participating in competitions. Nai-yu is the first prize winner in Taiwan KAWAI piano competition, both the first prize and the best performance in Professor Mao-Shuen Chen Scholarship Competition, who is a well-known Taiwanese composer; recently she was being named as one of the finalists in Grieg festival Young Artist Competition.
