Aaron Tubergen serves as principal viola of the South Dakota Symphony Orchestra and violist of their resident Dakota String Quartet. In addition to his duties with the SDSO, Aaron regularly performs with the Minnesota Orchestra, Cincinnati Symphony, and Grand Rapids Symphony. He has appeared at the Faulkner, Kent/Blossom, Saugatuck, and Sarasota music festivals, and was previously a member of the Akron and Canton Symphonies. Aaron earned his Bachelor of Music from the Cleveland Institute of Music under the instruction of Robert Vernon, principal viola of the Cleveland Orchestra. While at CIM, Aaron was the recipient of the Robert Vernon Prize in viola and performed with the Cleveland Orchestra at Blossom and Severance Hall.
