Kristen Doering, a native born Kansan, is currently attending The Juilliard School where she studies under Margo Garrett and Jonathan Feldman for her Master of Music degree in Collaborative Piano. Having appeared many times in the beloved venue of Paul Hall of The Juilliard School, Ms. Doering also held her debut performance in Lincoln Center’s Alice Tully Hall as a part of the Wednesdays at One Series. Enjoyed already by New York audiences and performance colleagues, Ms. Doering is known for her warm and colorful sound, and her acute partnering skills. Ms. Doering holds a Bachelor of Music degree in Piano Performance from The University of Kansas.
Born and raised in New York City, Maria Im began her violin studies at the age of 9. A recent graduate of the Master of Music program at the Juilliard School, she has performed on prominent stages throughout the city from Alice Tully Hall to Carnegie Hall. Maria also earned her Bachelor of Music degree at The Juilliard School where she studied with Masao Kawasaki. A lover of new music and non-classical music, she has performed world premiers as well as New York premiers with new music ensembles such as AXIOM and the New Juilliard Ensemble.

Hello, Friends and Family,
Over the past year at The Juilliard School, violinist Maria Im and I had the opportunity to work together. We had so much fun we decided to bring our music to you here in Kansas City! We will be performing on Saturday, August 3 at 4:30 pm in the Schmitt Music Hall in Overland Park. We have put together a concert of some of our favorite music from light classical to a few favorites of Gerswhin. We would love for you to come out and join in our concert with music and friendship. Feel free to invite friends and family. The event is free with a good will donation to help pay for travel expenses and the venue fee. We are excited to be here in Kansas and look forward to seeing you on Saturday!
