Biography:

Mark Cabaniss is Senior Vice President and Manager for Word Music, the print music division of Word Entertainment. Originally from North Carolina, Mark began his career in the music business in 1989 at Brentwood Music.

As an ASCAP composer and arranger, Mark has over 100 published compositions. Mark's work in music business and broadcasting has led to collaborations with television icon Andy Griffith, Academy Award-winner Shirley Jones, pop/Broadway songwriter Rupert Holmes, gospel singer Cynthia Clawson, legendary entertainer Steve Allen, and others. In addition to his work in the music business, Mark serves as an adjunct faculty member at Belmont University's Mike Curb College of Entertainment & Music Business in Nashville. He is the founder/donor of The Helen Cole Krause Music Scholarship and in 2007 was chosen as Mars Hill College's Outstanding Alumnus.

Mark holds bachelors and masters degrees in music education and communications from Mars Hill College and The University of Tennessee - Knoxville. He resides in Nashville.

Biography:

John Helgen currently serves as Director of Music Ministry at Roseville Lutheran Church (ELCA) in St. Paul, Minnesota, where he conducts several vocal and instrumental ensembles.  He attended St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota, where he received a B.A. in Music Theory/Composition, and studied piano, organ, voice, and the euphonium, and was a member of the St. Olaf Band and the St. Olaf Choir.  He is a graduate of the University of Minnesota School of Law.  Since 1979, John has lived in Minneapolis and has been active as a piano player, arranger, composer, performer, and producer. A member of ASCAP, ACDA, AGO, and ALCM, John has over fifty published choral anthems and arrangements as well as other vocal and instrumental pieces through Neil Kjos Music Company, Augsburg Fortress, MorningStar, Choristers Guild, Concordia, and Edition Music Contact.

Biography:

John Purifoy is an ASCAP composer and arranger with various published choral anthems, cantatas and keyboard collections and works recorded by Carol Lawrence, Anita Kerr, the Chicago Master Chorale and other artists. His work for chorus and orchestra, We Hold These Truths, narrated by Alex Haley won the 1987 Freedoms Foundation Award for musical programs. He is the composer and lyricist of the stage musical, Lambarene, which received a workshop production at the state theatre of New Jersey in 1991.

John lives in Knoxville, Tennessee with his wife Vicki, a television news producer, and two sons, Drew and Michael.
