The television program “Glee” has had a tremendous response resulting in more students wanting to sing and communicate their feelings through song than ever in our history. This vocal workshop will be geared for the young singers, 14-18, who is excited and charged with wanting to let go more in song. Questions such as… How much do I move? How do I gain more control and become less nervous? How do I belt healthy? Students will work in group activities as well as individually. All styles of singing are welcome. (Classical art song, musical theatre, jazz, etc.).

The Zagreb Saxophone Quartet Live at The Sax Shop!
Join us Thursday, March 22 at 4:00PM at Schmitt Music Brooklyn Center for this FREE performance by an internationally acclaimed, Eastern European quartet of saxophone masters!
Doors to the event open at 4pm for Conn-Selmer horn trials (featuring 20-30 Selmer Paris Saxes) and Dr. Eugene Rousseau Mouthpiece trials. Performance will begin at 6:00pm, and there will be a Q&A before and after the performance.
The Zagreb Saxophone Quartet, which has reached a growing audience in Eastern Europe and North America, has played to critical acclaim in venues throughout Europe as well as in Canada and the United States.

Here’s your chance to meet a trumpet legend! All are welcome at this FREE event- from amateur to pro trumpeters, to fans of Roger’s records. Stop by The Trumpet Shop at Schmitt Music Brooklyn Center this Saturday, January 28th from 2:00pm-3:30pm.
Roger Ingram is among the most prolific lead trumpeters today, with thousands of performances/recordings. Well known for his dynamic sound and hard driving swing, his legacy is embodied by respect and regard for artistic integrity. His career started at 16 with Louie Bellson, Quincy Jones, and Connie Stevens. Then came Tom Jones, Woody Herman, Maynard Ferguson, Arturo Sandoval, Wynton Marsalis, Ray Charles, and Harry Connick. In 2008, he wrote “Clinical Notes on Trumpet Playing.” Roger’s a Jupiter artist/clinician and in 2009 he designed the XO1600I.
